Catholic Charities, Diocese of Fresno, (CCDOF) is a faith-based social service agency providing aid in eight counties of the San Joaquin Valley; Fresno, Merced, Mariposa, Madera, Kings, Tulare, Kern and Inyo.  The work of Catholic Charities rests upon the Principles of Catholic Social Teaching:

3. Subsidiarity*
4. Solidarity with the Poor

Founded in Fresno as Catholic Social Services in 1933, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Fresno was incorporated in 1968 and celebrated 40 years of service in 2008.  With five locations throughout the central valley, in Fresno, Bakersfield, Laton, Merced, and Visalia, CCDOF served nearly 200,000 people last year. 

Catholic Charities assists individuals and families providing the tools, training and resources to help meet basic necessities for life. In addition, the Family Resource Centers provide information and referrals to social service agencies in each community we serve.

We are also affiliated with and in good standing with Catholic Charities USA.
